Our marula oil is cold pressed from Swaziland, where marula thrives without the use of pesticides. It is wild harvested and fair trade practices ensure it directly benefits the people of the area in a sustainable way. This nourishing oil contains a high amount of antioxidants and essential fatty acids. Where marula oil differs from other oils is in it's molecule size. Since the molecules are much smaller than other hydrating oils, they absorb deeper and more easily into your skin. This can give you a matte finish that performs wonderfully under makeup! Marula oil is high in oleic acid, making it a top choice for dry skin.
Chia seed oil is loaded with high levels of antioxidants and phytonutrients. When applied to skin it helps regulate sebum while the zinc and B vitamins make it perfect to level out surface oils. It also has a wonderful balance of linoleic acid (omega-6) at 12-23% to oleic acid (omega-9) at 5-12%.
In addition we use regenerative, sweet, and relaxing blue tansy essential oil from Morroco. Blue tansy is a soothing addition that fights inflammation and beautifies your complexion. The lovely blue color is completely natural; no colorants are ever used in our products.
Three mindful and purposeful ingredients:
•Cold Pressed Marula Nut Oil
•Organic Chia Seed Oil
•Pure Blue Tansy Essential Oil
To use, apply 1 to 3 pumps of serum to clean hands and gently massage into clean skin. This serum is perfect for day or night use.
This 1 ounce glass bottle with a treatment pump will yield over 280 pumps (seriously, we counted, it was brutal). That's about 3 months worth assuming daily use of no more than 3 pumps.
As with any product containing essential oils, always check with your doctor if you are pregnant or have a medical condition before use.
The Granola Goat is proud to be registered with Leaping Bunny and PETA as cruelty free! All of our products are vegan.

YES! All my products are certified vegan AND cruelty free by PETA. The Granola Goat is also certified cruelty free by the Leaping Bunny program. I care about this deeply and if I cannot verify my suppliers are cruelty free via their own literature, I contact them to make sure.
I source from major companies as well as small and indie businesses when possible. I love to buy directly from the farm, producer, or maker but if I must purchase through a distributor, I choose companies who have a reputation to protect. All the essential oils I use are grown without pesticides, synthetic chemicals, herbicides, gmo's, harmful chemicals or fertilizers. I will never purchase cheap products from suspect suppliers, no matter what their claims are. Saving a dime is not worth putting old or adulterated ingredients in my bottle and on your skin. I want you to be healthier, and safer when it comes to your beauty choices.
Oh yes. You might find that the culprit behind the burning and itching your face feels when using certain products is the preservative. Products containing water must be preserved to inhibit bacterial growth. If you have sensitive skin, you might just need to avoid preservatives.
Keeping it simple is kind of my thing. I believe in getting the full benefit from few as opposed to minimal benefit from many. If you want to go crazy and get lots of ingredients at once, mix some of my products. It’s not unheard of for me to sport a face mask that was mixed with the last little bit of three different jars. My serums play well together if you want to mix them (Brighter Days and Keep Calm are glorious together!), and we even love to combine a little makeup removing oil with serum for a nice oil cleanse.
Absolutely! There are no hidden ingredients, no undisclosed use of solvents like hexane (because I don't use solvent extracted oils at all), no preservatives, and nothing disguised.
