This deeply soothing face serum is wonderful for every skin type, but a real gift for those with extra sensitive skin. Red raspberry seed oil makes up over 90% of this serum and it is extremely high in vitamin E, which reduces damage and scavenges free radicals. It's packed with carotenoids, which are crucial to healthy skin, and it's high in linoleic acid (omega 6) at 52% and low in oleic acid (omega 9) at 10%. Why is this important? For balanced, calm, and clear skin, look for oils higher in linoleic acid.
Sea buckthorn berry oil is not high in linoleic acid, but the high levels of vitamins C, E, and carotenoids make this an ingredient we can't keep to ourselves. What gives our Keep Calm serum its edge is pure German chamomile essential oil. Chamazulene, the chemical compound that gives the oil its beautiful color, is strongly anti-inflammatory and very soothing. It can also minimize the appearance of broken capillaries.
The red raspberry seed oil we choose comes from raspberries grown in Washington state. The cold pressed seed oil contains one of the highest phytosterols contents of any vegetable or fruit oil, making it excellent at preventing photo damage. It has amazing anti-inflammatory effects and has an SPF as high as 28-50.
Our choice of sea buckthorn berry oil is from Tibet, is cold pressed and also USDA Certified Organic. This oil is a sustainable, plant based source for omega fatty acids 3, 6, and 9 as well as the rare omega 7. Sea buckthorn is also an antioxidant super star with many vitamins and minerals.
Three mindful and purposeful ingredients:
•Cold Pressed Red Raspberry Seed Oil
•Organic Seabuckthorn Berry Oil
•Pure German Chamomile Essential Oil
To use, apply 1 to 3 pumps of serum to clean hands and gently massage into clean skin. This serum is perfect for day or night use.
This 1 ounce glass bottle with a treatment pump will yield over 280 pumps (seriously, we counted, it was brutal). That's about 3 months worth assuming daily use of no more than 3 pumps.
As with any product containing essential oils, always check with your doctor if you are pregnant or have a medical condition before use.

YES! All my products are certified vegan AND cruelty free by PETA. The Granola Goat is also certified cruelty free by the Leaping Bunny program. I care about this deeply and if I cannot verify my suppliers are cruelty free via their own literature, I contact them to make sure.
I source from major companies as well as small and indie businesses when possible. I love to buy directly from the farm, producer, or maker but if I must purchase through a distributor, I choose companies who have a reputation to protect. All the essential oils I use are grown without pesticides, synthetic chemicals, herbicides, gmo's, harmful chemicals or fertilizers. I will never purchase cheap products from suspect suppliers, no matter what their claims are. Saving a dime is not worth putting old or adulterated ingredients in my bottle and on your skin. I want you to be healthier, and safer when it comes to your beauty choices.
Oh yes. You might find that the culprit behind the burning and itching your face feels when using certain products is the preservative. Products containing water must be preserved to inhibit bacterial growth. If you have sensitive skin, you might just need to avoid preservatives.
Keeping it simple is kind of my thing. I believe in getting the full benefit from few as opposed to minimal benefit from many. If you want to go crazy and get lots of ingredients at once, mix some of my products. It’s not unheard of for me to sport a face mask that was mixed with the last little bit of three different jars. My serums play well together if you want to mix them (Brighter Days and Keep Calm are glorious together!), and we even love to combine a little makeup removing oil with serum for a nice oil cleanse.
Absolutely! There are no hidden ingredients, no undisclosed use of solvents like hexane (because I don't use solvent extracted oils at all), no preservatives, and nothing disguised.
